Sean Suozzi was born in Glen Cover, New York, and began his dance training at the age of seven. In February 2000, after three years attending the School of American Ballet, Mr. Suozzi was invited to join New York City Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet. Since joining NYCB, he was danced featured roles in George Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments, George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™ and Prodigal Son; Peter Martins’ The Sleeping Beauty; and Jerome Robbins’ Fanfare, The Four Seasons, and Interplay. He originated roles in Boris Eifman’s Musagète, Eliot Feld’s Organon, Susan Stroman’s Double Feature, Richard Tanner’s Soirée, and Christopher Wheeldon’s Carnival of the Animals and Shambards. Mr. Feld also created a solo, Proverb, for Mr. Suozzi as part of Feld’s ManDance Project in October and November of 2004. In March of 2004, Mr. Suozzi performed with Peter Boal and Company at the Joyce Theater, dancing in the world premieres of John Alleyne’s 2nd Prologue and Marco Goecke’s Mopey.
